About Gopal Krishna Goswami

Gopal Krishna Goswami is a prominent spiritual leader within the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), commonly known as the Hare Krishna movement. He was born in 1944 in New Delhi, India, and became a disciple of ISKCON’s founder, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, in the early 1970s. Over the years, he has emerged as one of the most senior and respected figures within the movement.


Gopal Krishna Goswami is well known for his extensive work in expanding ISKCON globally, especially in India and Russia, where he played a crucial role in establishing temples, educational programs, and various spiritual initiatives. He is also a member of ISKCON's Governing Body Commission (GBC), which oversees the worldwide activities of the movement.


As a dedicated preacher, he has been actively involved in promoting the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam, conducting lectures, seminars, and kirtans (devotional singing) across the world. His focus is on spreading the message of Krishna Consciousness, emphasizing the importance of devotional service (bhakti), chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, and living a life based on Vedic principles.
